Hey there, I'm Beth!
My name is Beth Jarrell, and I'm a librarian and information professional in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
My passion is providing good, reliable information to people. My work has allowed me to deliver lectures to a wide audience on topics such as information literacy, digital literacy, and staying safe online.
Preservation and archives is something I also feel strongly about. In my career, I've been lucky enough to work on some really cool and important projects, like re-launching a local oral history project and creating Sanibel's first-ever digital archive featuring over 5,000 items.
I have also delivered numerous guest lectures to the University of Washington iSchool, presented to local and statewide organizations, and am always advocating for libraries in local and national media organizations. You can even find me in a chapter of James Patterson's The Secret Lives of Booksellers and Librarians!
In my spare time I enjoy quilting, dog training & competing, and getting my hands on as many books as I can!
